This project entailed a complete renovation of St. Joseph Medical Center's existing Imaging Suite No. 1, remodel of the corridor to provide a patient waiting/prep room, exterior UPS enclosure, roof and mechanical replacements. Improvements to the 1,000 sq.ft. imaging suite included:
- Upgrade from a single-slice, air-cooled, computed tomography scanner to 128-slice Siemens water cooled scanner
- New control room
- ADA toilet and changing room
- Reconfigured existing and provided additional medical gas ports
- Bariatric patient lift
- Interior finishes and equipment upgrades per facility standards
In addition to the imaging suite, a portion of the corridor was remodeled to provide a patient waiting/prep room in the event both suites No.1 and 2 were in use, previously patients queued in corridor on gurneys. The remodel included:
- Mechanical and electrical system upgrades
- New medical gas system
- Interior finishes and equipment upgrades per facility standards
Although not originally in the project scope, an exterior addition to house the new UPS was constructed to isolate noise and better the patient experience. As part of a change order proposal the existing ballasted EPDM roofing and mechanical roof top units were replaced.
